3 Stylish and Easy 'Glamping' Outfits
I'm not an outdoorsy person. While I love being in nature and experiencing new places, I'm not truly the 'roughing it' type. However, give me a rustic chic cabin, a glass of wine, and a cool summer weekend, and I'm there! Keep reading for 3 of my outfits I wore while on a 3 day mini vacation in the Adirondacks!
Graphic Tee and Plaid Combo
The graphic tee and plaid oversized shirt combination is one of my favorite 'glamping' looks. It's one of those moments I step outside my usual style profile and fully embrace being carefree. It's relaxed, it's comfortable, yet still fun and stylish. It's also practical if you're a person who constantly finds themselves being torn apart by black flies and mosquitoes. Enter - me. Seriously, I always come back with 5-10 large bites. Sometimes they even bite through my clothes! So long sleeves, long denim pants is my go-to.
Also, I loved this plaid flannel so much I wore it twice (which is definitely encouraged when you're camping. Let's get real, this is the one time you're truly allowed to just let it all go!). I bought it on my first thrifting trip to Buffalo Exchange in Soho. I have a couple other flannels like it, but this one was slightly thinner with a longer hem in the back. It would be great with black leggings and vegan leather boots in the fall!
The Layered Look
The layered look is another one of my recommended looks if you plan on spending time in nature. I especially love this combo because I'm the girl that's always cold (except for this summer in NYC which was a curveball!) and therefore I like to have a little extra on to keep me at a comfortable temperature. I love this white undershirt from Wear Pact because it's reminiscent of underarmour, yet isn't truly over insulating. It's still a light layer. Click here to shop my white long sleeve tee!
Then I always throw my denim chambray over. I used to wear this button up in high school all the time, so I've had it for almost 10 years. Its definitely faded over time, but who can tell. Plus, I'm not worried about it getting dirty or damaged when I'm out in wooded areas! These leggings from Pact are also a great addition to my wardrobe. Click here to shop! They have pockets that are secure which meant I wasn't worried about my phone falling into the water when my boyfriend and I were canoeing! Wear Pact is a great brand that specializes in clothing made from organic cotton. in fair trade certified factories, while utilizing sustainable practices that use less water!
Lastly, I love a good patterned sock pulled up high over my pants. These are from conscious step - a brand that donates to various cases. This pair supports making safe and clean water accessible. They came in a pack of three, each with a different cause to support and I absolutely love them. Linked here!
The "Woodsy Lounge" Look
The last look I wore, I refer to as the class 'woodsy lounge' look. To be honest, It's actually really just my travel outfit, but hey - I'm still in the wilderness right?! I threw on a basic navy tee, with my denim chambray, and my absolutely favorite fleece eco joggers from Alternative apparel. Seriously, it was one of my first sustainable fashion buys and has served me well. Shop the most comfortable joggers ever here! My white baseball cap is also from Alternative Apparel. Linked here. Want to learn more about the brand? Read my review here! I also break down what it means to be Fair Trade Certified and Fair Trade criteria.
That's all for now. Let me know in the comments where your favorite place to camp is! I'm definitely getting more into it now that I've had a few great experiences.
